Health insurance is required for foreigners who are not citizens of one of the European Union countries and at the same time cannot participate in the Czech system of state medical insurance. Our insurance policies comply with the requirements of Law 326/1999 on the residence of foreigners in the Czech Republic and are recognized by the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic. According to Law 326/1999 from 01.01.2011 on the stay of foreigners in the Czech Republic, every foreigner who lives in the country and has a long-term visa for a period of more than 90 days or a long-term residence permit in the Czech Republic is required to have a comprehensive medical insurance issued exclusively by a Czech insurance company. In order to extend the residence permit in the Czech Republic and when applying for permanent residence, it is necessary to provide Czech comprehensive medical insurance with insurance coverage of 1,600,000 CZK (60,000 euros). To obtain a tourist visa to the Czech Republic, it is sufficient to provide basic medical accident insurance with the coverage of CZK 1,000,000 (40,000 euros).
